Matcha-ing at Figaro Coffee Company
One thing's for sure, I will never say no to Matcha. Ever since there had been offerings of different matcha variations locally, I've been on the pursuit of trying most matcha-related dessert / drink around town.
On to my latest matcha adventure, I headed to Figaro Coffee Company to try out their very own take on the matcha cake.
Whenever I pass by Figaro in Alabang Town Center, their small quaint cafe on the corner of the 2nd floor is always packed. Luckily, I got the chance to finally dine around and try their bistro food and pastries for the first time! :)

Now you know how much of a sweet tooth monster I am! LOL |
After munching on my Chicken BBQ skewers for dinner (which is actually good food for a bistro / cafe resto), I immediately got my slice of Kyoto Kotobuki Matcha Cake. I am so excited to try this that I think I ate my dinner meal faster than I normally would. 😅
Kyoto Kotobuki Matcha Cake has two layers of rich and moist coco-sesame cake symphony covered with a light, smooth, and rich matcha green tea mouse.
This matcha cake is different than the other matcha cakes I've tried because of its coco and sesame mix on its body. I'm actually not a fan of beany textures on my food. However, this cake has passed my standard.
The matcha mousse and the powder on top are such a turn on because of its generous serving, making every bite satisfying! Also, it isn't as sweet as the other cakes around, making the matcha flavor stand out. 💚
Is this cake as amazing as the actual cakes in Kyoto? I hope to discover the answer as I visit this wonderful city in the coming months! #TLWandersJapan
After dining in, I figured out that there are more food and drinks to try at Figaro. I'll surely be back for more! 💖
