Enamored by the new Samsung S23 series — specifically with its sustainable hardware
Having been able to get to experience different phones over the years, I know I'm not the only one who has experienced how these devices have plateaued in the past few years. Innovations weren't as drastic as before. Phones just weren't exciting anymore whether on the fine print or during hands-on. It was a nice breath of fresh air when I heard about how the Samsung Galaxy S23 series was designed with the planet in mind.

Working for a company that takes sustainability seriously (without losing the fun aspect of it, of course), I felt like I have been more eco-conscious than ever. It was thrilling to see that big brands are making bold changes to take care of the environment, their customers, and their business. In Samsung's lens, recycled materials were taken into consideration on the hardware end of their latest line of mobile phones. They were made from pre-consumer recycled aluminum and glass and post-consumer recycled plastics sourced from discarded fishing nets, PET bottles, and water barrels. Despite the mindful changes in the phone, they didn't feel like the components were compromised at all. In fact, the S23 Ultra felt premium when I first laid my hands on it.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 series was also the brand's first S series with Corning© Gorilla© Glass Victus 2 screens, also known as the most durable glass in the market yet that's made with 22% pre-consumed recycled material. Leaving it to the experts to do a drop test of the phone's glass but the material did not feel inferior during my short time with the unit.

On Photography
Apart from the series' sustainable components, Samsung also boasts its most advanced camera system yet with its enhanced Nightography feature. This includes a new AI-powered image signal processing (ISP) algorithm that enhances object details and color tone under low-light conditions. In return, it makes the images at night crisper and more detailed versus older Night Mode features present in other Samsung lines. They have also unlocked The Expert RAW app specifically for the Samsung Galaxy series.
As for videos, its doubled optical image stabilizer (OIS) enables a user to take videos at night sans the blur. Taking videos on the fly is now made enjoyable thanks to its enhanced 8k video at 30fps with a wider angle for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
On Ecosystem
The new Galaxy S23 series has also allowed one to connect with other devices in the Samsung line creating an ecosystem to make multitasking on different passions at the same time possible. There's also a Samsung Multi Control feature that connects the Samsung S23 to the Samsung PC and tablet with mouse and keyboard functionality. Let's not forget the S-Pen that comes with the Samsung S23 Ultra! It also allows users to collaborate with other people in making projects through the co-editing feature in Google Meets live sharing.
